Excellent- well done gameplay and the idea turns out to be rather fun. Great example of how buildup and release create excitement and an addicting feeling.

*gasp* it IS addictive! surprisingly so!

fantastic entry for experimental game play. I also personally love anything that's playable in-browser.

Indeed (and nice score!) There's one more tricky technique, too, that I have not yet gotten any good at - a star gets its combo count from the most recent explosion to hit it, so if you're very quick you can knock a single star toward an already-primed star that's about to explode and continue the chain.

And if the game inspired "hours of trying" then I think I'm doing something right. =D

139, after hours of trying.

You can click on a star before it explodes to knock it farther and reset it's explosion time. You only get one point for it, but you can knock a loose star clear across the map into a group and solve that "lone star" problem.

I love it! my best score so far is 117. I wonder if unused stars should respawn at the top? It would make it more of a waiting game, but also a little bit less random. If a star is in the wrong spot, you wouldn't have to set it off just for that one point.
