This week’s game is my EGP April challenge submission – the theme was “Repeat”, and after some brainstorming I decided on a game idea of “puzzle-platformer in a layered time loop”. Inspirations include Braid, Cursor*10, and (to a very minor extent) Eversion. The last level is particularly fiendish – I had difficulty beating it, myself! Those of you who appreciate a hardcore challenge in this sort of game should be pleased with it, I think.
Incidentally, the protagonist’s name is Hatbox, and you’re likely to see him return in a future game.
Game 12: One to Tango,
Okay, this one is pretty confusing, but I think I started getting the hang of it, but then at level 7, I realized I couldn’t see the whole level. Is the screen supposed to scroll with you? Since I could never see the whole level, I couldn’t jump up onto that upper platform on the upper right, since the screen ends before I can get over there, and then I can hear myself jumping up and down, but I can’t tell how to do it.
That’s very odd, the entire level should be onscreen (and surrounded by walls). I know that adjusting the browser’s zoom level can have some odd results. Can you post your browser version and java version?
Okay, it was my browser’s zoom level. I’m using Mozilla Firefox, and the lastest versions of both java and firefox I believe.
Very cool, I totally dig the Atari 2600 style graphics and sound effects. I got pretty far when I played but didn’t complete it. Would be nice if there was a way to skip ahead or select a level so I could easily continue where I left off.
Very good game. It reminds me a little to the shadow level in Braid, but with a nice twist as you can carry yourself up of your hat.
Reminds me of a game I just played a couple days ago … Called “The Company of Myself”.
Difficult on the last level indeed, but fun game overall, great use of the theme.
Very addictive. Level eight’s got me stumped…
