My major project is coming along nicely, and will be done soon (I promise!) To tide you over, here’s a short, simple, and frankly not very exciting puzzle game. No audio; I recommend listening to http://www.rainymood.com/.
Relax and play Raintrace.
[Additional note: This game was heavily inspired by Auditorium, which I intended to mention but couldn’t remember the name of. Thanks to Joe Larson in the comments for reminding me.]
Game 17: Raintrace,
I can never tell if puzzles are hard or I’m just bad at them.
Would have been nice to see more levels, maybe some color combining.
Color combining was an idea I had, but didn’t make the “got nothing and deadline is in 4 hours” cut.
I guess I’ll have to compensate with story elements.
Are you planning on revisiting any of these games in the future?
Some of them, yes. Some of my games would be fairly straightforward to add new design elements and levels to, others I have plans to incorporate as a mechanic of a larger game design, and others are ripe for going off on a tangent in sequel-space rather than expanding directly.
The big project I’m working on is a successor to one of my earlier games.
Ripping off Auditorium more than a little here, arent’ you? Not that that’s a bad thing. more games need to rip of Auditorium IHMO.
With the rain mood playing in the background like you suggested it was a very satisfying, if short, experience.
This game was very fun, Me and a friend beat it together, after figuring out

that you can redirect the water falling into the colored circle

I do wish it was a little longer, but what can you do with only 4 hours? I’m impressed that you came up with such interesting puzzles to begin with, despite not having very much time. Does making up puzzles come naturally to you? I have a theory on what your next game is building on, but I’m probably wrong, so I will keep it to myself. Good luck though!
