Menu system, one of approximately three tricky bits of this thing, seems to be working.

Menu system improved; question and “tooltip” present now.

Awesome
The menu looks alright! It looks a lot like some GBA game that I can’t remember. Pokémon menus maybe? I forget.
I don’t remember you using menus in any of your other games. Is that because they’re difficult to create?
Keep up the good work, Nathan!

It’s a very different programming structure than I’m used to working with (it doesn’t cooperate well with a “do this every frame” game-loop idiom). The code from this game will be inelegant, hacky, and not readily generalizable, but I’m learning a lot that’ll help for future similar projects.
Well I’m very glad to hear that this game will make you a better programmer.
That’s awesome Nathan
Also John The menus are from the Final Fantasy series, especially 1 in this game :). <3 fixedsys as the font choice.
That would make sense Brandon, as this game is going for the FF aesthetic.
So do you have an unavoidable commitment tomorrow?
